Irritable bowel syndrome is also another cause. It is an illness mostly and commonly characterized by diarrhea, constipation, bloating, abdominal pain and cramping. Changes in routine or lifestyle, such as pregnancy, travel and aging will also cause you to constipate. During pregnancy, pregnant moms are constipated due to hormonal changes or for the reason that the uterus squeezes the intestine. Aging also affects the regularity of bowel movement due to slow metabolism, which decreases strength and muscle tone of the motor activity of the intestine. Traveling causes people to disrupt their daily diet and routine that causes constipation.
Illness also causes constipation, illness such as fever, chemical imbalance, traumas, and poisoning. Frequent utilization or abuse of laxatives, certain diseases including diabetes, thyroid problem, stroke and Parkinson’s disease are also the causes of constipations.
